आज पर्न गएको २५६६ ‌औँ बुद्ध जयन्तीको अवसरमा आयोजित समारोहमा भारतिय प्रधानमन्त्री नरेन्द्रमोदि र नेपालका प्रधानमन्त्री शेर ब.देउवा दुवै देशका प्रधानमन्त्रीबीच लुम्बिनीमै

आज पर्न गएको २५६६ ‌औँ बुद्ध जयन्तीको अवसरमा आयोजित समारोह सम्बोधन गर्नुअगाडि दुवै देशका प्रधानमन्त्रीबीच लुम्बिनीमै द्विपक्षीय भेटवार्ता भएको थियो।                                                               आफ्नो छोटो नेपाल भ्रमणको क्रममा सोमवार लुम्बिनीमा एक समारोहलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै भारतीय प्रधानमन्त्री नरेन्द्र मोदीले भगवान् बुद्धको 'पवित्र जन्मस्थल' आउन पाएकोमा आफू सौभाग्यशाली भएको बताएका छन्।

"भारतका प्रधानमन्त्रीको यस भ्रमणले भगवान बुद्धको जन्मस्थल लुम्बिनीलाई विश्वभरि थप परिचित पार्न योगदान पुर्‍याउने विश्वास छ," देउवाले भने।

विगतमा बेलाबेला बुद्धको जन्मस्थललाई लिएर खासगरी भारतीय पक्षबाट आउने गरेका विभिन्न टीकाटिप्पणीका माझ प्रधानमन्त्री मोदीको भनाइलाई नेपालमा धेरैले निकै महत्त्वका साथ लिने देखिन्छ।

बुद्धको जन्मस्थललाई लिएर केही तप्कामा रहेका भ्रम यसले निवारण गर्ने नेपालस्थित जानकारहरूको विश्वास छ।आफ्नो २० मिनेट लामो सम्बोधनका क्रममा मोदीले केही वाक्य नेपालीमा पनि बोलेका थिए।

•लुम्बिनी पुगेका भारतीय प्रधानमन्त्री मोदी चीनलाई के सन्देश दिन चाहन्छन् त भन्ने जनचासो को बिषय बनेको छ।

के भने मोदीले?

#सम्बोधनको सुरुमै मोदीले वैशाख पूर्णिमाको दिन विगतमा पनि भगवान् बुद्धसँग सम्बन्धित विभिन्न दिव्यस्थलहरूमा जाने मौका मिलेको भन्दै यसपालि बुद्धको 'पवित्र जन्मस्थली' आउन पाईएको बताए।

"त्यो ठाउँ जहाँ स्वयं भगवान् बुद्धले जन्म लिए त्यहाँको ऊर्जा र त्यहाँको चेतना एउटा बेग्लै अनुभूति हो," उनले भने।मोदी र देउवाले लुम्बिनीस्थित अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बौद्ध गुम्बा परिसरमा भारतका निम्ति नेपाल सरकारले उपलब्ध गराएको भूमिमा निर्माण हुने भारत अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बौद्ध संस्कृति तथा सम्पदा केन्द्रको संयुक्त रूपमा शिलान्यास गरेका छन्             "नेपाल आउँदा मलाई कुनै राजनीतिक भ्रमणभन्दा अलग एउटा छुट्टै आध्यात्मिक अनुभूति हुन्छ।"

उनीभन्दा अगाडि उक्त कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै नेपालका प्रधानमन्त्री शेरबहादुर देउवाले भारतीय प्रधानमन्त्रीको भ्रमणले सांस्कृतिक पर्यटन अभिवृद्धि हुने बताए।

The Prime Ministers of the two countries had a bilateral meeting in Lumbini before addressing a function organized on the occasion of the 2566th Buddha Jayanti. Addressing a function in Lumbini on Monday during his short visit to Nepal, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he was fortunate to visit the 'holy birthplace' of Lord Buddha.

"It is believed that the visit of the Prime Minister of India will help make Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, more familiar to the world," Deuba said.

Prime Minister Modi's statement seems to be taken very seriously by many in Nepal in the past amidst various comments coming from time to time regarding the birthplace of Buddha, especially from the Indian side.

Experts in Nepal believe that it will dispel some misconceptions about the birthplace of the Buddha.

During his 20-minute speech, Modi also uttered a few sentences in Nepali.

At the beginning of his address, Modi said that he had the opportunity to visit various divine places related to Lord Buddha on the full moon day of Baisakh in the past as well.

"The place where Lord Buddha himself was born is a unique experience of energy and consciousness," he said. "When I come to Nepal, I have a different spiritual experience apart from any political visit."

Addressing the program before him, the Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the visit of the Indian Prime Minister would boost cultural tourism.
